ABOUT THE RUCKS ON MAIN MARCH

Twice a year Rucks On Main will host a military-themed ruck march at the Santa Fe Plaza in downtown Temple, Texas to honor our Veterans and The Fallen. This ruck march is open to everyone. On Memorial & Veterans Day weekends, marchers will fill their rucksacks with UP TO 40lbs of non-perishable food items to be donated to charitable organizations. Marchers will complete a 6-mile route through downtown and historic neighborhoods in north Temple. Before the ruck march each participant will receive a t-shirt. Participants can register online, or in-person on the day of the event. Participants are not guaranteed a t-shirt if they register 30 days before the event. After completing the ruck march, marchers will gather at the Santa Fe Plaza to enjoy free food for participants, locally-brewed craft beer, and camaraderie.  Once a year proceeds from the Memorial Day & Veterans Day ruck march will be donated to a Veteran led Non-Profit organization in the local community

Rucks On Main sole purpose is to Ruck in honor/memory of our Fallen Service Members, Police, Firefighters, EMTs, and Veterans while raising funds to support other non-profits that support Active Duty military and Veterans in times of need. Twice a year we will walk a designated course with our Rucks and carry the names of our Fallen comrades with us.

The day of the ruck march we will need volunteers to assist with tent set-up that morning, volunteers to check in registrants, volunteers on the course navigating participants, and photographers!  All volunteers who fill out the online form below will get an email a few weeks prior to the event listing time and place of the volunteer meeting.
